Welcome to Nechako Valley Inn!
Our hotel has a rich history dating back to the early days of Vanderhoof. The Vanderhoof Hotel, which was said to have been constructed by the late John Ruttan, stands as a testament to the town’s pioneering spirit. Ruttan was a chief founder and pioneer of the area, having operated sawmills in both Fraser Lake and Vanderhoof. He even drove the first automobile ever seen in the region. In addition to the Vanderhoof Hotel, Ruttan also built the Board of Trade Hall.
Under new management since June of 2022, we have a team of friendly and dedicated staff who are always happy to assist our guests. Our goal is to provide a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like home.
